The HTC Atlantic Kite Challange
Departing the end of November 2013 a team of 6 will cross the Atlantic Ocean by kite. In a 24-hours non-stop relay session every rider will be surfing 4 hours a day: 2 by day, 2 by night. The team will take the Southern Atlantic route – departing from the Canary Islands – arriving 6000 km (or 3200 Nm) later in the Caribbean.
Now here is the fun bit – you could be the 6th member of the team! One spot left and you don’t have to be a super hero to apply. The team are looking for someone who can happily ride for 4 hours a day or night for an extended period. You will have to be over 21 and available Monday nights – now we don’t think that’s much to ask for such a brilliant adventure!
Words from the Team –
Description
The 6th rider will be selected by a video contest and a meet and greet with the team. Don’t worry – we are not expecting a professional production. All you need to do is send us a video explaining why you would like to cross the Atlantic Ocean with a kite. Simple right?
Off course – we want to make sure we all arrive at the other side safely. Some risks we cannot manage in advance – others we can! That is why we do have some selection criteria for our last teammate. Please check below, get inspired, and be in touch!
